About Alison

Over the past 19 years, Alison’s experience as a sports participant, coach, facilitator, small business owner and parent has convinced her of the power of a strong positive mindset. Training the mind in combination with physical, technical and tactical skills empowers athletes to reach their full competitive potential.

The launch of Level Up, Performance Mindset Coaching uses Alison’s knowledge, experience and training as an REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy) Coach to bring your young female athlete to the next level. With this program, Alison introduces the tools young athletes need to be able to take on challenges outside their comfort zones, to build confidence and determination, and to capitalize on all the benefits sports can provide.

Alison is an avid sports coach, volunteer, and connector of family and friends. She is a Certified Development Coach with the Coaching Association of Canada and she is currently pursuing her Advanced Level Certificate for Volleyball. For 6 years Alison operated an organization called Fitgirls that offered workshops, after school sessions and summer camps for girls ages 7 – 11. It offered girls a chance to build confidence in basic athletics, healthy body image and their knowledge of nutrition. Alison is also founder and operator of The Sticky Kitchen, where she shares recipes designed to connect friends, family and food. She teaches cooking classes to kids and runs group sessions with busy moms. Alison and her husband Scott have been married for 28 years with 3 active kids, ages 22, 20 and 17. She has a passion for leading a healthy life through fitness, food and positive psychology; she loves to read, ski and hike in the mountains.  Alison is currently head coach of a girls 13U Titans Volleyball Team and the Nile Academy varsity team.
